Our History

The Aegean House was established in 1936 by the owner’s grandfather. 

It was the first hotel of the island, when Skyros was still little known to visitors.  It was a two-story house with red tiled roof and verandas in the front and the back, overlooking the sea and the town above it. 

The building has gone several transformations through the years, until its most recent update, completed in 2024. 

Though much of the building has changed since 1936, what remains constant and unchanged is the love for hospitality and attention to detail of the owner’s family.
